Ever wake up to a screen like this:
For me, it means an update was installed. But a few weeks back, it was happeningn EVERY FEW HOURS. It was driving me nuts and I was missing calls and messages from family and colleagues. NOT GOOD.
I tried to uninstall apps i used a lot. I tried a “hard reset.” Nothing was working. I was starting to shop for a new phone.
Then I remembered something: I keep my phone in my pocket. A LOT.
So I took out a flashlight and looked into the Lightning charging port. And what did I see?
a ton of lint!
I grabbed a sewing needle and worked out about a tablespoon of lint from my phones charging point. Small lint can have some electrostatic properties and if you have charging touch points in contact, I would suspect some hardware checks will malfunction.
I haven’t had a reset in days and I’m feeling pretty confident this helped fix it.
Try it yourself!
